President Muhammadu Buhari is back to Nigeria,he arrived today Friday
at about 7.40a.m.
According to sources, as a result of the closure of the Abuja airport his plane was scheduled to land at the Kaduna airport, which he was to be flown by helicopter to the President Villa, Abuja.
He earlier tweeted on his post saying;
'My message to you: I'm glad to be back home, & grateful for your prayers. The best way to repay you is to rededicate myself to serving you…'
President Muhammadu Buhari had on January 19, 2017 travelled to the United Kingdom on a vacation hoping to also undergo his routine medical check at the same time.
However, events took a new turn when the presidency disclosed that the president’s medical trip had been prolonged on advice by his doctors.
While he was away, there were several reports that the president placed a call to some members of his team to know how they were faring.
He made a speech saying:
“I am deeply grateful to all Nigerians – Muslims and Christians alike who have prayed and are continuing to pray for my good health. This is a testimony that in spite of the hardship being experienced, Nigerians support the Government in its effort to tackle our country’s challenges.
The best way for me to repay you all is to re-dedicate myself to serving you, protecting your interests and keeping your trust. I thank you very much.
I am feeling much better now, there may, however, be need to have further follow-ups within some weeks. Rather than sending delegation upon delegation to Abuja to welcome me, may
I appeal to all Nigerians to continue to pray for our country’s unity, progress and prosperity.
I thank you very much and may God bless our Country!”
