Crisis rocked Sokoto state House of
Assembly following alleged moves to
impeach the Speaker of the House,
Honourable Salihu Maidaji.
Security personnel took over the House of
assembly complex to forestall a possible
breakdown of law and order, following a
free for all fight that ensued between some
members which disrupted the day’s
proceedings.
The aggrieved members accused the
speaker of the House of impunity,
highhandedness and corruption, but The
House Majority Leader dismissed the
