The Peoples Democratic Party has set up
state caretaker committees for Ogun, Borno
and Kebbi to coordinate the affairs of the
party in the states pending the election of
substantive officials. Members of the
committees were administered Oath of
Office and allegiance by the former
Attorney General of the Federation and
Minister of Justice, Kanu Agabi at the Party’s
National Secretariat in Abuja.
The leadership crisis rocking the Peoples
Democratic Party came to an end following
the Supreme Court judgement that resolved
the issue in favour of Ahmed Makarfi
faction. But in some states PDP is still
having leadership problem and this has now
necessitated the party to set up committees
to charge of the affairs of the states. Part of
the terms of reference given to the
committees is to reconcile aggrieved
members in the states.
The committee members after being
addressed by the National Chairman took
their oath of office and allegiance which was
supervised by the former Attorney General
of the Federation and Minister of Justice.
