Former White House press secretary
Sean Spicer has finally got to meet the
Pope.
The ex-press secretary was left off a list of
White House officials to meet the Pope
during President Trump's visit in May.
The omission was seen by many as a slight
by Mr Trump against the embattled aide.
A Vatican spokesman confirmed Mr Spicer
attended an audience with the Pope on
Sunday as part of an annual meeting of
the International Catholic Legislators'
Network.
Vatican Radio posted photographs of the
event on Facebook.
One shows Mr Spicer - who is Roman
Catholic - in the front row, using his phone
to take photos of Pope Francis.
Mr Spicer announced his resignation last
month after a disagreement over the
appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as
communications director - who was then
sacked by Mr Trump after 10 days.
