Minister of Women Affairs and
Social Development, Senator Aisha
Alhassan says she’s optimistic the Federal
Government will enrol some of the Chibok
Girls in one of the best schools in the
country as the new session resumed on
Monday.
Alhassan has come under heavy criticisms
for displaying her loyalty for former Vice
President, Atiku Abubarka’s 2019 election
campaign during an interview on BBC
Hausa radio last week.
She noted that government is putting up
plans to ensure that the Chibok Girls
continue their education with American
University of Nigeria (AUN).
“The government is fulfilling that
promise as we all know; the girls have
been at the rehabilitation centre for a long
time and as a new school year begin.
“They are going to be in one of the best
schools; the American University of
Nigeria (AUN) where they will start a
special foundation programme like a
pre-degree.
