The National President of the Manufacturers
Association of Nigeria has blamed decayed
infrastructure and high interest rate as being
responsible the death of some local
industries and he wants government to
correct the situation.
The MAN President, Jacobs Udemba stated
this while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin,
Kwara state, shortly after inspecting a local
industry under construction.
He noted that locally made goods can
compete in the international market but
government has to assist with provision of
infrastructure and also compel commercial
banks to bring down the interest rate.
